I’m bringing you a delicious breakfast that will have you starting your day with a bang, girlfriend.
I’m talking oats, chia seeds, almond butter, almond milk, cinnamon. I mean, come on? How can you not want to start your day this way?
If you’re a busy bee and don’t have time to make breakfast in the morning or want to spend that extra 30 minutes sleeping in, then these Protein Overnight Oats will be your new best friend.
The combination of chia seeds and oats absorbs liquid in 30 seconds flat. Therefore, you could make this in the morning, let it sit on your way to work and eat when you get there. If you have a little more time you could warm it up, but in the summer time, I love mine cold.
You can add any goodies you want to jazz this up but here is my go-to recipe.
p.s. How awesome is this wooden board in my photos? My uncle made that. HE MADE IT.
TIP: If you like your oats more creamy I would add more milk because it’s rather thick, which I enjoy! I always add a little more right before I eat it as well. If it becomes too runny, don’t worry! Once it sits in the fridge the chia and oats will absorb more than you realize.
