HI!!!!
Yes, I did call this post Morning Puffy Face. I feel like when you read that you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Quick question:
Who here has ever been a personal victim of a swollen face in the morning? Raise your hand.
I don’t know about you, but my hands are raised as high as can be.
A bloated face is a very real thing. That puffy, swollen look right when you wake your pretty self up. It’s the worst – It always seems to be when you have something going on the next day and you wake up ready to go but your face says otherwise.
I think my favorite line is,
“you don’t look bad, you just look tired.”
Excuse me, sir?! GO AWAY FROM ME.
Not a cute look, let’s be real here.
So I wanted to give you some of my secrets to reduce the bloat faster! Let’s get right into it.
First, here’s some of the reasons why your face is puffy.
——————————————————————————————————————————
Wake up and chug. That’s my life motto. Drink at least 25 ounces before you even have your coffee. I cannot stress enough how important water is, especially when you’re bloated. It might feel uncomfortable to drink water when you’re bloated but it’s a must. Water drains all the toxins and nasty stuff out of your body. The fastest way to flush out your body is going to the bathroom. Grab a cute water bottle and never let it leave your side. Even better? Throw a lemon and ginger in there.
Bloat means you’re retaining water. Get your morning workout in. Sweating out the toxins is another way to reduce the puff.
…..Ice roll? Yeah, girl, you heard me. I’ve been using this one for over a year now. Rolling on your face, DOWNWARD towards your heart drains you like none other. Keep it in the freezer and pull it out when you’re ready to roll it over your face. The cold temperature is known for reducing the inflammation in your face and it just feels plain good.
Removing your make-up before bed SHOULD be an obvious thing and something you do without thinking, like brushing your teeth. We’ve all been there. Not only will it clear up your skin but it will allow your skin to breathe. Otherwise it causes irritation around your eyes. Resulting in some serious puff.
I should have named this post: ‘Has The Puff taken over your life?’
Although sparkling water is a great alternative for soda, it can cause serious water retention because of its carbonation. Even if you have ONE glass of wine before bed, you will wake up with a puffy face, sadly.
I hope you found this helpful! Let me know if you try out the Ice Roller – you won’t regret it. Purchase here.
What are your favorite remedies for reducing that lovely face bloat?
I’m off to make some Chicken Hummus Quesadillas 🙂 Stick around for those.
all my love,
