I’ve been living off snacks lately. I forgot what it’s like to make a meal. Oops.
These protein packed energy bites are the perfect mid morning/afternoon snack or pre workout. I’ve been making these for years and they never fail me. One thing I love about these energy bites is how well they stay together. You could throw them in your purse when you’re out and about and instead of stopping for an unhealthy snack, you have something filling, full of fiber and energy. Pretty perfect if you ask me.
I brought these to the gym over a year ago to give away after the workout and they were a hit. If you like peanut butter, you’ll like these. I like to keep mine in the fridge so they’re fresh and cold. I wouldn’t recommend the freezer and although they would stay together left at room temperature, there’s something about the fridge that makes them sweet perfection.
If you have a hard time getting in your protein, add these to your diet.
TIPS: If you use cocoa powder instead of chocolate chips and it’s too dry, add another tablespoon of peanut butter or honey. Try it without first.
