Yesterday ( Sunday ) I spent the day meal prepping my heart out. I’m talking muffins, Lara bars, chicken, steak, sweet potatoes, juices, you know the drill. I was feeling pretty good about myself. I lost all feeling in my fingertips from doing so many dishes and I think they’re permanently stained orange but other than that I would chalk my Sunday up as a big ole success.
I wanted to make a juice that was sweet and refreshing. Something without all the green stuff for once. One to satisfy thy cravings and give me life bright and early in the morning.
Low and behold the Sunrise Juice.

That’s it. Just pure sweet and tasty goodness. After drinking it this morning, I’m thinking it would be bomb with a little champagne or vodka for brunch? I don’t know. Just thinking out loud.
I used the orange peel to infuse in some water along with mint. The orange peel actually has a ton of flavor and soaking it in your water will extract it. Make sure you wash your oranges very well prior to doing that.
Another tip with juicing oranges: keep as much of the pericarp(white part) of the orange as you can – it has a ton of nutrients! Just as much vitamin C as the orange itself.
