Aloe Vera, my little secret weapon.
A few years ago I discovered a flavored aloe vera drink. It was sweet and filled with the pulp of aloe inside. I had read that it was good for your skin, so every time I had a breakout, I added aloe vera juice to the list of remedies to fight those stubborn nightmares.
And every time…it worked. I would wake up with noticeably clear skin. The texture of my skin also improved.
I talked about this on my Instagram last week but I wanted to share more about the benefits!
Those benefits are ENDLESS. Here are just a few:
Ya, it’s a lot.
Some results that I have personally experienced and physically saw a change were clear, glowing skin and better digestion.
Heck ya, baby!!!
It’s something so simple and natural and a great thing to add to your routine. Plus it’s one ingredient, can’t go wrong with that.
I’m sharing about aloe because I get a lot of questions about clear skin and lately, me and clear skin don’t know each other. I have hormonal breakouts along my chin and jaw and I don’t even want to know what’s going on with my forehead. We all go through those stages of breakouts where stress, eating poorly, hormones, the environment, or whatever it may be takes over.
So I’m sharing my favorite ways to drink aloe vera juice. On its own, it can be kind of dry in flavor but you can always take it straight up. It’s similar to apple cider vinegar in that way where you chug it and get it over with. BUT, it’s not even close to as nasty tasting as ACV!
Take 3-8oz a day depending on your tolerance. Remember, it helps with digestion so start with less! The recipe I’m sharing today is a rough estimate. I never measure anything, just adjust accordingly. This strawberry lemonade is a refreshing summer drink. It shouldn’t have a smoothie texture, it should be light and easy to drink.

You can truly add aloe to any smoothie or juice that you’re already drinking. For me, that’s been Trader Joe’s Green Juice. I love having a glass of this mixed with aloe vera juice every morning before breakfast!
Let me know if you try aloe vera juice! Or if you have before, what’s your favorite way to drink it?!
all my love,
