Does anyone else need a re-boost after that long weekend?! I know I do. I was super active all weekend and ate relatively healthy. However, being in the sun hours upon hours left me sleeping at my desk this week.

So I pulled out whatever was in my fridge and freezer, (because going to the store would be way too much work at this point) and threw together this tropical smoothie.

Don’t let the word tropical throw you off. I’m not necessarily a huge fan of tropical flavors but I was feeling this one. Plus, who doesn’t love a smoothie when it’s 90 degrees? Am I right?

I’m right.

pineapple

banana

ginger

wheatgrass

Re-Boost & Restore Green Smoothie 

servings: 2

ingredients: 

• 16 ounces coconut water
• 1 inch chunk fresh ginger (peeled)
• 6-7  chunks of pineapple (frozen)
• 1 orange (peeled)
• 1 huge handful of kale
• 1 banana (frozen)
• approx. 1/4 cup wheatgrass or by the handful

Optional: 1 scoop protein powder

directions:

• Using a high powered blender, such as a Vitamix, throw all ingredients together
• Blend for 3 minutes or until everything is blended and smooth
• Enjoy immediately
