Happy Day!
I hope you’re having a productive week. As I was on my second gallon of water today I thought, wow I’m going to pee my pants and also what would I do without Kangen water? I’m incredible lucky to have access to this.
I’m sure you’re wondering what Kangen water is. It was foreign to me as well until a couple years ago. Naturally I need to share, because everyone should know about alkaline water and food.
Okay, so I want to talk about pH levels in your body..
WAIT. Don’t leave just yet. It won’t be boring, I promise. You may even learn something and we should learn every day!
I was first introduced to the difference of acid and alkaline balance in your body when I met my husband, Jon. He purchased a Kangen machine that gives alkaline water at 9.5 pH. I was like, what’s wrong with the faucet water or Dasani?
Oh, so much.
If you paid attention in school, first of all, congrats. Secondly, you may have learned this but I certainly have zero recollection of this. I did get my education in Napoleon, ND. No shade to them but you know how that goes.
The pH scale is 0-14. Water has a neutral pH balance of 7. Your blood has a slight alkaline balance of 7.35-7.45. Your body needs to neutralize acidity that comes into the body to maintain a good pH level in your organs.
So, when you’re eating a high acidic diet, your body is prone to the growth of virus, bacteria, yeast, and fungus.
I learned this analogy from Tony Robbins when I attended his Unleash the Power Within seminar,
“Think of it like this: A refrigerator must stay cold in order for food to stay free of bacteria, fungus, and mold. If the terrain of the refrigerator is compromised and the refrigerator begins to warm up, the food inside will begin to grow bacteria that evolves into yeast and mold. The food begins to deteriorate and is destroyed. The same thing happens to the inside of your body when you overeat acid-producing foods. This is how all infectious and degenerative diseases begin.”
Makes sense, right?
Acid Addictions:
Filling your plate with a majority of fruits and vegetables will be the most beneficial to your health. But you knew that already, didn’t you?
Then why aren’t you doing it?
Stress also makes a huge difference in your pH levels. It has to do with the way you start to breathe when you’re stressed. That’s why when you become stressed, it’s common to eat unhealthy which generally includes sugars, alcohol, heavy carbs, and caffeine. (Or whatever your poison may be for you.) All of that leads to an acidic internal environment causing sickness and disease.
Regulating your diet to a balanced 75 percent alkaline foods and 25 percent acidic foods is ideal for us. Balancing these levels will lead to weight loss, increasing stamina and strength, and a stronger immune system.
You know I’m all about balance. It’s so important in maintaining a lifestyle where you’re never restricted and listening to your body.
Most fruits and vegetables are high in alkaline in nature. Citric fruit, for example, are acidic outside of the body, but once consumed, leave an alkaline residue in the body after being metabolized.
Go to town on that lemon water.
I know that we all say we should stop drinking so much, or stop having so much sugar. What if we actually did that? Or what if we just added more alkaline rich foods to our diets and balanced out what we do a little better?
It’s never easy to change or break a habit, but if it meant never being sick, don’t you think you would give your body more love, and more deep breaths? Be aware of what you put in your body today and treat it well.
When you’re going grocery shopping or out to eat, ask yourself if what you’re about to pick is high in alkaline or acid. Team alkaline!
Talk soon!
all my love,
